About

Greenidge Funeral Homes, Inc. is a family owned and operated funeral home that was established on the Northside of Atlantic City, New Jersey in 1962, by Joseph F. Greenidge and his new bride Carolyn W. Greenidge.  At that time, the funeral industry in the area was like many businesses – segregated.  Though we are still an African-American owned business, we are proud to boast that we serve all races and religions.

Once you request the services of Greenidge Funeral Homes, we will immediately put our experienced funeral professionals to work for you. Our team of dedicated professionals  will stay in contact with you every step of the way and guide you through the decision-making process. We will carefully explain your options, make recommendations at your request, take care of all the large and small details, and ensure that you and your family’s personal touch is always present.

Funerals serve an important purpose: they allow us to recognize a life that was lived and acknowledge that the life has come to an end. Funerals exist for the living, for survivors who suffer the loss of a loved one. We understand that every family is different. Influences such as religious and cultural traditions, cost concerns and personal preferences make each funeral as unique as the person who is being honored.

We offer burial, cremation, as well as a variety of other services that can be tailored to match your needs. Our funeral directors will work with you to put together a personalized package, and discuss the many options and details that make each of our services a personal, lasting tribute to your loved one.
