Obituary of Jamilah Kenisha Brown

Jamilah Kenisha Brown, 32, of Atlantic City, New Jersey passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. She was born April 29, 1990, in Atlantic City, New Jersey to Barbie Jo Brown and Lamont Hawkins. Jamilah attended the Atlantic City public schools and was a 2009 graduate of YouthBuild. She worked for various fast-food chains such as; Mc Donald's, Burger King and was lastly employed by Dunkin Donuts. Jamilah loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them as much as she could. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends. In her down time, Jamilah enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, certain tv shows and series and listening to various genres of music. One of her favorite artists was Chris Brown in which she attended three of his concerts. Jamilah will always be loved and missed by those who knew her. She was preceded in death by: her father, Lamont Hawkins; maternal grandparents, Elsie and Frank Brown. Jamilah leaves to cherish her fond memories: her mother, Barbie J. Brown; sisters, Antonia Belgrave, Jamirah Davis, Jaleesah Hawkins, Stephanie Hawkins and Jamilah Hawkins; uncles, Frank and Thomas Brown; aunts, Rikita McCoy (Clarence), Zaledia Johnson, Sandra Roberts and Roviene May; and a host of other family members and friends. Memorial services to celebrate her life will be 10:30AM, Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Greenidge Funeral Home, 301 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City, New Jersey, where family and friends may call from 10AM to 10:30AM.
